What is sorting by "Relevance"?

When you search for an item on Temu, we try our best to return the most relevant matches.

The "Relevance" sorting option is the default setting to sort search results. It aims to prioritise listings that best match what you are looking for and helps you find products more efficiently.

To achieve this, we match your search terms with product listings and rank them so that items most likely to interest you appear earlier in the search results.

A number of factors are considered when sorting listings by "Relevance", including:

- User activities on the platform including searches, clicks, views, add-to-cart actions, and purchases, which help refine recommendations based on how relevant the listing may be to users;

- Product listing information, including titles and descriptions, price, sales volume, product category, product specifications, and historical data such as clicks and views;

- Other factors, including the user's country site, language preference, time zone, and how recently the user registered may also influence how listings are ranked.

The relative importance of the factors used to rank listings is dynamic and may change over time. Product listing rankings are continuously updated to incorporate the latest information. This helps to ensure that consumers are consistently presented with the most relevant search results.
